About this Laguiole Folding 3XL Carving Set.

Handle Material: Ebony, Africa - Ebony is the word darkest wood and one of the very few that will not float. The knife is 15.25" long and weighs around 15 oz. The fork is 11.25" long and weighs around 5.5 oz.

Construction: Fork: Stainless Steel. Knife:T12 steel and cold-forged solid brass (liners & rivets). Produced exclusively for Forge de Laguiole, T12 steel combines durability, rust resistance, and ease of sharpening. Although T12 will not rust it is not stainless steel, it's a unique "hybrid" metal alloy. Forge de Laguiole's unique methods of forging, combined with tempering, give this knife a perfect cutting edge. T12 steel comes from the Isere region of France.
