This Chateau Laguiole was created in honor of Marc Almert of Germany,winnerof the 2020 World Best Sommelier organized by the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI) championships in Antwerp. Originally from Cologne, he is the Head Sommelier at the luxury hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich.

The Best Sommeliers series, created by Master Sommeliers Guy Vialis, celebrates the world's best sommeliers with corkscrews designed with their input. With its debut in 1993, Chateau Laguiole quickly became the preferred brand of many top sommeliers. Today, Chateau Laguiole remains one of the most sought-after waiter-style corkscrews in the industry and is proudly Made in France. Since 2020 all genuine Château Laguiole corkscrews come with a registration card to be validated online. This is the only assurance of their authenticity and warranty.

How to Maintain Your Pocket Knife

Pocket Knives are designed for cutting only. Do not use it as a screwdriver, crowbar, wood chisel, as this can cause irreversible damage and void the warranty.

To keep your pocket knife in top condition, follow these maintenance tips:

Lubricate Moving Parts: Periodically apply a few drops of lubricant to all moving parts. This ensures smooth operation and extends the life of your knife.
Hand Wash Only: Always hand wash your pocket knife. After washing, dry it quickly with a soft towel to prevent rust and corrosion.
Recommended Lubricant: We highly recommend using Sentry-Solutions Tuf Glide for all our folding knives. It provides excellent lubrication and protection.

Important Note: Tuf Glide is not considered a "food-safe" product. Avoid using it on knives that come into contact with food.
