Handcrafted in Thiers-France, this knife was approved by the "Coute de Tie," the Guild which certifies the authenticity of the design. The name Le Thiers® Nature by Fontenille Pataud” is a tribute to the city of Thiers. Like Solingen in Germany or Sheffield in England, Thiers has, for several centuries, been the hub of the French knives and cutlery industry. Le Thiers® Nature by Fontenille Pataud offers a good balance between the blade and the handle thanks to its special forged spring. A groove into the back of the spring allows the blade to fold in.

Technical aspects: Smooth, easy opening & closing are provided by a Teflon-assisted lock back system. This knife also features a solid hardened blade stop to help prevent the blade's edge from contacting the inner area of the spring.

Narra, Amboyna burl. Amboyna is technically not a distinct species but is the name of the burl of several of the Narra Pterocarpus indicus species. Amboyna is among the most expensive and sought-after of all burls and is frequently sold as a veneer or as small turning/craft blanks.

How to Maintain Your Pocket Knife

Pocket Knives are designed for cutting only. Do not use it as a screwdriver, crowbar, wood chisel, as this can cause irreversible damage and void the warranty.

To keep your pocket knife in top condition, follow these maintenance tips:

  1. Lubricate Moving Parts: Periodically apply a few drops of lubricant to all moving parts. This ensures smooth operation and extends the life of your knife.
  2. Hand Wash Only: Always hand wash your pocket knife. After washing, dry it quickly with a soft towel to prevent rust and corrosion.
  3. Recommended Lubricant: We highly recommend using Sentry-Solutions Tuf Glide for all our folding knives. It provides excellent lubrication and protection.

Important Note: Tuf Glide is not considered a "food-safe" product. Avoid using it on knives that come into contact with food.

PERFECT POCKET KNIFE

The LeThiers Nature 11 cm knife is the perfect luxury pocket knife. The subtlety curved shape is the essence of elegant simplicity. The weight of knife is very close to the ideal of 1 ounce per inch of blade length. The proportion of the blade to handle is improved by extending the blade tip beyond the handle into the backlock mechanism. The intricate file work on the spine and the beauty of the handle material complements the overall sense of grace and elegance. This classy knife would be right at home in an executive’s pocket or in a ladies purse. It’s a real pleasure to carry and to use.
